Shocked and delighted is how we might describe our feelings about the week just gone. Nearly 30,000 gentlemen and ladies have climbed aboard the train d’amour. We have been amazed and intrigued by the vast array of fantastic suggestions for great little places in London.

And one last thing. Keep it on the hush people, but our new friends at Gordon’s Wine Bar – by far and away the most oft mentioned venue from all you of this last week – have kindly offered something special up for folks out on a date. As we know only too well, Gordon’s is a popular spot. Which means queues for the bar; you standing in line, checking your phone trying to look cool. Save yourself this punishing peril, for just this week from Saturday to Saturday, and concentrate on why you’re there with this little secret tip. Instead of the bar, go to the bbq. Ask the good Gordon’s bbq-er extraordinaire ‘Could I have a bottle of something special from your secret store please?’ and hold tight as a bottle of fine romance potion appears.
